Nanowrimo update

Made it to 50,000 words in 27 days. I haven't read back over any of what I've written so far and have decided to finish the mss (50-70,000 more words) before I look at any of it. The most difficult part of working in this way is remembering characters (I now have a character chart made up) timelines and sub plots. A very worthwhile experience.

  1. I've been cheating, so to speaking, and have been attempting over 50 000 words of sonnets, mainly free verse sonnets. The aim has been 600 sonnets, and I am writing 541-560 tonight, with the rest over the next two nights.

It's been quite the journey, quite often exhausting, but it has helped me loosen up a lot more as a poet.

  2. Congratulations! A mighty effort. (I did it once; which was great fun and confirmed me in my opinion that I am no novelist, lol.

For some reason I'm yet to fathom I'm unable to reply to comments left by others so thank you for dropping by and taking the time to read and comment. Merlene
