5th Englyn 1st draft
In darkened doorway he lay
unseen by all who pass his way
they the blind who will not see
unheard plea, he drifts away
This challenge has shifted from drafting and editing an englyn each day to just keeping the momentum going.

Cornish Miners graves in some areas of South Australia have these unusual poems on them, and since my childhood I have always been intrigued by them. Next time I am in an area where they remain I will photgraph some headstones, and send to you.
ReplyDeleteVery Interesting,
Terry
I'd love to see some of these, Terry. This is a very old form of poetry and difficult to stay within the rhyme and syllable structure. I haven't done too well with these but I don't like to bail once I've started something just because the going gets tough.
