It’s been some time since my last blog post, but that doesn’t
mean I’ve been idle, quite the opposite. Much of the past few weeks have been
devoted to copy editing and preparing Kundela by Terry L Probert for print and
Terry will be hitting the road with this book within the next few weeks – stay posted
for dates.
I’ve also completed the pre-copy edit
assessment on Chris Mackley’s memoir, Daddy Cool and Me: A Memoir, scheduled
for completion in the latter half of the year. This book is going the biggest thing to come out of Dimboola since; Dimboola: The wedding a play written by Jack Hibberd in the late 1960s.
My next project is editing the latest novel by Loretta McCarthy;
author of The Bride Price, The Signet Ring and No Sneezes for Lily a children’s big book, and I’m looking forward to working with Loretta on this one.
In the meantime, I am preparing two of my books, One Writer’s Journey - A Guide for Writing
Groups and A comprehensive guide to
capitals, for epublishing and completing research to take the Holmyard
family history to the next level. This means resurrecting my Ancestry. com account to retrieve everything I gathered before I set it aside some months ago.
Looks like being a good year.
Not a lot of time to make small talk over the next twelve months by the look of things.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the guidence to bring KUNDELA to life and now onto the next part of the journey.
I'm looking forward to reading Chris's book as I think it will be a beauty.
Sounds like a busy year, Merlene. It's important to make time for your own work, and by the look of a couple of your titles, we'll all be benefiting from these too. The Australian Geographic article on Dimboola is great - there's certainly a few people I recognise in those photos. I'll have to have a look at some of Loretta's work. I look forward to working with you throughout the year.
