At 28,275 words I've passed the halfway mark. Some may see this as a milestone, but to me it's a reminder of the distance left to travel and whether there's enough in the story to carry it over the line. There is if I want to add every detail of the lives of every descendent - but I don't - and many things will remain in my notes or to be handed on privately for others to decide what to do with them.
